How to make taste-safe diy magic/kinetic sand

You will need:

• 1 cup bicarbonate of soda
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup cornflour (cornstarch)
• 1tbs cream of tar tar
• 1/4 cup of water
• Food dye

Method:

1. In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients apart from the water and food dye.
2. Pour your water in a jug, add a few drops of food dye and stir together (the more food dye you add the more vibrant your magic sand will be).
3. Slowly pour 1 tbsp at a time of water into your dry mixture, you may only need to use 1-2 tbsp of water. Mix together until you have a soft, mouldable texture.
4. If stored correctly in an airtight container your magic sand will last up to 1 year.
