The Play Team

Inclusive play

Our Inclusive Play Team provide play opportunities for children aged 5 to 14 with disabilities and additional needs.

Although many of our sessions aim to be accessible for a range of needs, we recognise that some children might benefit from alternative play experiences.

Our relaxed sessions have less people around and no music. Parents or carers must stay.

During school holidays, we offer play sessions for children with higher support needs. The sessions are carefully planned to meet the needs of the children attending and have higher staff to child ratios.

Please contact us to discuss your child’s needs. We can help you choose the play sessions that is right for your child.

These sessions are booked in advance.

Other play opportunities

We fund stay and play sessions on Fridays during most school holidays at Cwtch Together. These are ‘play together’ sessions where families can play alongside their peers, chat with other parents and carers, and make friends.

You can also find out about their other services that are available to you and your family.

Clwb Carco operate a funded holiday play care scheme. We can refer a limited number of children to this play care scheme during most holiday times.

Please contact us for more information.

Organisations that support children with additional needs or disabilities

Cwtch Together

Cwtch Together is a disability play project based in the centre of Cardiff, which promotes inclusive play and socialisation for disabled children and their families.

The project is a stay and play project where parents and carers will be responsible for the child at all times. Staff and volunteers are on hand to facilitate play opportunities for members.

They run weekly Saturday sessions where children and families are able to book in to attend. Members of staff and volunteers are play trained, first aid and safeguard qualified.
